Welded and seamless coated pipes
The welded and seamless coated pipes of the TECNOCOAT series manufactured by the Amenduni Group cover a dimensional range between DN 15 and DN 250 for epoxy coating and up to DN 300 for water-based coating.
The TECNOCOAT series pipes offer significant benefits such as excellent temperature resistance, high mechanical properties and excellent defect-free surface quality.
Two types of coating are available, epoxy powder and water-based.
Epoxy powder coating
For this finish, the tube is first subject to visual inspection and cleaned by grit blasting. Then, the piece is heated by an induction generator at 200° C. After this phase, the epoxy powders are applied by means of electrostatic guns (average thickness of the paint 70-90 microns). The pipe is then cooled off, marked and subject to thickness and adhesion checks.
Coating with water-based liquid paint
Coating with water-based liquid paint uses a water-soluble thermosetting pigment with an average thickness between 30 and 50 microns. As with the other process, the pipe is first subject to visual inspection and then grit blasted. After the application of the paint layer by spraying or immersion, the piece is transferred to an annealing and drying plant.
Applications
Amenduni Group's welded and seamless coated pipes are widely used in fire-fighting systems, civil and industrial plants, and gas pipelines. In these applications, the coating offers not only a protective layer against atmospheric and industrial corrosives, but also a useful tool for the identification of the fluids.
