Electroplated steel tubes
The already top-notch characteristics of Briantubi tubes are further enhanced by a wide range of high value-added electroplating treatments, providing both high aesthetic quality and optimal performance.
Polished nickel
A bright and mirror finish, with a yellow-hued metallic color. The polished nickel treatment, applied by electrodeposition with passivation, offers good surface hardness and corrosion protection. When a greater resistance to oxidation is required, the tubes can be coated with an additional layer of transparent cataphoretic lacquer.
Satin nickel
Color similar to matt stainless steel typical of nickel, but with a semi-matt satin effect (without transparent lacquer-coating) or semi-polished called "champagne" (with transparent lacquer). This coating is obtained through electrodeposition of a layer of nickel with columnar structure followed by an electrodeposition of another layer with lamellar structure. Afterward, the tube is passivated and coated with cataphoretic lacquer. This treatment provides the tube with a higher resistance compared to single-treated tubes under the same conditions.
Black nickel
Polished gunmetal color, this type of treatment simulates the appearance of darker, more precious alloys. The process is carried out through electrodeposition of bright nickel, followed by electrolytic application of a flash of black nickel and subsequent in-line transparent cataphoretic lacquer.
Satin black nickel
Smokey anthracite gray - satin-finished gunmetal color, resembling that of rare metal alloys. This treatment also involves the combination of two nickel electrodeposits with different structures (one layer with lamellar and one with columnar structure), followed by the application of transparent cataphoretic lacquer.
Polished brass
Polished mirror appearance, with metallic brass yellow hue. Carbon steel subjected to this treatment can replace very expensive brass alloys or those with unsuitable structural characteristics. The transparent cataphoretic paint provides the oxidation resistance to which brass is naturally subject.
Satin brass
Semi-polished brass yellow color, this is a very refined treatment with three successive electrodeposits and electrophoresis of the transparent lacquer. It is mainly performed upon customer request.
Polished chrome
Bright mirror finishes, the tubes subjected to this electroplating treatment have high surface hardness and extreme resistance to corrosion. The process is performed through electrodeposition of bright nickel and subsequent application of a chrome flash.
Satin chrome
With a satin metallic color, with a white hue, which simulates the appearance of natural aluminum with more pronounced metallic reflections. This type of coating gives the product excellent resistance to corrosion and excellent surface hardness. The process is divided into three steps: the first step involves the electrodeposition of polished nickel through surface activation; the second, the electrodeposition of a thinner layer of satin nickel; the third and final step, the actual finishing, is the application of a chrome flash.
