New Sei Sistemi rewinding line for precision layer winding of thin wires

Sei Sistemi, a company specializing in industrial automation, has announced a new automatic rewinding line designed for high-speed and precise winding of thin wires. This cutting-edge system is compatible with plastic spools and iron baskets, ensuring flexibility and high performance for various materials and applications.

Optimization and versatility

The new automatic rewinding line has been optimized to handle a wide range of wire types, including:

- CO2 wire
- flux-cored wire
- stainless steel wire
- aluminum wire

Supported wire diameters: 0.80 mm to 2.00 mm
Operating speed: up to 35 m/s

The rewinding line is compatible with iron baskets (with and without a 52 mm hole) and plastic spools, making it suitable for multiple industrial applications.

Precision rewinding for perfect spools and baskets

Let's take a closer look at the key features of the new rewinding line in terms of performance.

The spool storage unit has 55 iron baskets or 55 plastic spools capacity. The cycle time is 143 seconds from start to start for 1.00 mm CO2 wire weighing 15 kg. The system is powered by a Siemens 12 kW, 2300 RPM AC motor, ensuring superior power and reliability. Additionally, the system features an unwinder suitable for spools with flange diameters ranging from 630 mm to 1000 mm. Thanks to its precision and speed, this rewinding system is ideal for industries that require high-quality wire winding, such as welding, electrical cable production, and other industrial applications that demand perfectly wound spools or baskets.

The Sei Sistemi team of experts awaits you at wire & Tube Mexico from February 11 to 13, 2025, at the Cintermex exhibition center in Monterrey, stand 228.
