The German trade fair industry is ready to restart

As agreed by the government and federal states on May 6, 2020, exhibitions will no longer be regarded as mass events in Germany.

The decision aims to reboot the trade fair industry and the economy together with it. “The step-by-step reopening of hotels and restaurants is an important signal for exhibitions” states Jörn Holtmeier managing director of AUMA – Association of the German Trade Fair Industry. “The reopening of borders and the resumption of transnational business traffic, too, are crucial for the success of exhibitions in the second half of the year.”
