Torino Spring marks 15-year partnership with Politecnico di Torino and Diana in rover development
For over 15 years, Politecnico di Torino, the screw manufacturer Torino Spring, and Team Diana have been collaborating on the development of rovers for the exploration of difficult terrains.
The research team at Politecnico designs advanced rovers for space and terrestrial missions, while Torino Spring provides crucial components, such as wheels, designed to ensure mobility in extreme environments.
This partnership has led to numerous successes, thanks to the combination of the academic expertise of Politecnico and the advanced industrial solutions from Torino Spring. The wheels, made with innovative materials and designed to tackle sandy, rocky, and icy terrains, are essential for the proper functioning of the rovers.
Over these 15 years, the collaboration has produced increasingly sophisticated rovers, making a significant contribution to the evolution of robotics. Today, the synergy between research and industry continues to grow, opening new perspectives for space missions and other robotic applications, such as mapping difficult terrains and environmental monitoring.
