CERATIZIT celebrates 100 years of experience

On June 24, 1921, Dr. Paul Schwarzkopf founded Metallwerk Plansee GmbH laying the foundation for the CERATIZIT Group, which was established in 2002 through the merger of Plansee Tizit and Cerametal.

“We are proud of our 100 years of expertise, which after all amounts to a fruitful combination of pioneering thinking and innovative creativity,” stated Thierry Wolter, Member of the Executive Board of the CERATIZIT Group.

During the anniversary celebrations, a maple tree was planted at the entrance of the Mamer plant in Luxembourg as a symbol of the Group's commitment to sustainability. The event was attended by the CERATIZIT Board, His Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duke, the Minister of Economy Franz Fayot, the Mayor of Mamer, Gilles Roth, Karlheinz Wex, spokesman of the Board of the Plansee Group, and Andreas Olthoff, Managing Director of CERATIZIT Luxembourg. CERATIZIT supports ten projects worldwide dedicated to important topics, such as erosion protection, reforestation, biodiversity, poverty, gender equality, and climate stability.
