Fratom Fastech to expand its machine shop with new EDM machines

The fastener industry has been struggling a little bit lately. The automotive sector in particular is experiencing a slight compression, due to a general climate of uncertainty which has severely hampered investments in this market. However, as Albert Einstein once said “In crisis emerges the best of each, because without crisis all winds are only mild breezes”, that is to say, crisis sparks innovation.

This is why, despite the current recession in the fastener field, Fratom Fastech is expanding its production capacity in the EDM sector (Electrical Discharge Machining), by incorporating more WIRE EDM, EDM drilling, and EDM Spark erosion machines. Fratom was established in 2015, but it actually boasts a production background of over 25 years as a provider of tooling solutions. The implementation of the new machines will allow Fratom to further broaden its offers and improve its production capacity, by making it faster and more efficient.
