RLS Tooling Ltd. was established in 1989 to provide a UK based specialist form rolling die manufacturer, but has since expanded to provide a very comprehensive range of tooling for most thread rolling applications, as well as form rolling.

The job
Due to increase in work, the company is now looking for the ideal candidate for a full time job as a surface grinder in the expanding production facility in Norton Canes, near Cannock, Staffs. There will also be a small amount of basic cylindrical grinding involved, but training will be given to the successful candidate.

The role
The candidate would be expected to work to tight tolerances. The operator would be setting multiple jobs throughout the working day and will be checking his own work using micrometers – verniers and other measuring equipment.

The candidate
The candidate would be expected to have experience of working a surface grinding machine and also general surface grinding experience. Experience using an Opti-dress would be an advantage. However, training can be given for the right candidate.
Ideally the person would be from a toolroom background as components are ground in one off and small batch work. They also need to be a strong team player and be able to individually perform to meet customer requirements.
