A 360° structural upgrade

The company has undertaken improvements on multiple fronts, starting with the modernization of its facilities. The entire fume extraction system, lighting, heating, and cooling systems, as well as the oil distribution and filtration, have all been replaced. At the same time, the relocation of 60 CNC machines allowed for a reorganization of the production layout, enhancing internal logistics and operational efficiency.

These innovations were accompanied by a significant investment in capital goods and new machining centers. Management also benefited from optimization, with the implementation of a new ERP system and a brand-new updated website.  On the human resources side, the company expanded its workforce and renovated common areas, including the cafeteria and locker rooms, to improve employee comfort.

These transformations were carried out during an especially complex period, marked by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and the crisis in the automotive sector. Nevertheless, Sala Punzoni remained focused on structural and technological advancements to strengthen its market position.

The primary goal of the reorganization was to respond even more effectively to customer requests. The company sought to increase production capacity while also enhancing technical and commercial consulting, providing more comprehensive and responsive support to its industrial partners.
