Cutting tubes in a more sustainable way: Moreschi leads the way!

Moreschi Srl stands out as a trailblazer in the industrial blade industry with a clear mission: ensuring quality at every stage of the production process while minimizing environmental impact. As early as 2013, the company launched a campaign to raise awareness among customers about the importance of recycling and reusing the protective rubbers for blade safety. Customers were encouraged to reuse packaging when returning blades for maintenance, laying the foundation for subsequent eco-friendly initiatives.

Giving new life to used blades with Infinity Cut

Moreschi Srl promotes blade sustainability by encouraging customers to return used blades for maintenance and sharpening. Through the patented Infinity Cut service, discarded blades are repurposed into new tools, maintaining or even enhancing performance. This initiative has saved about 25 tons of raw materials annually over the past 2 years.

150 MWh of clean energy per year

In 2022, the company made a significant stride toward sustainability by installing a photovoltaic system. This system annually generates 150 MWh of clean energy, meeting 27% of the main facilities' energy requirements and saving 79,500 kg of CO2 per year, equivalent to the emissions absorbed by about 7,950 trees annually.

PVD coatings also for large blades

Moreschi can extend its blade lifespan with PVD coatings for large blades. In addition to PVD coating and technical support for optimized cutting parameters, the company has invested in a second unit of Platit coating ovens for blades up to 1400 mm in diameter this year. This innovative initiative aims to minimize waste and enhance performance in the blade sector.
