Qp Mechanics to expand its machine shop with a new Studer CNC cylindrical grinding machine

Qp Mechanics keeps investing in new technologies to ensure state-of-the-art and increasingly accurate products.

The Italy-based company has just expanded its machine shop with a new Studer CNC cylindrical grinding machine, suitable for both small and large workpieces (weighing up to 150 kg). The distances between centers is 650 mm, while the height is 175 mm. The grinding machine ensures an accurate surface quality and allows machining usually challenging materials, thus guaranteeing high precision in dimension, shape, threads, and non-centered profiles with a controlled C axis.

The state-of-the-art machine was designed to produce small, medium, and large batches, and also to grind complex pieces with one tightening torque – thanks to the new wheel head made of two motor spindles. Qp Mechanics also offers third-party grinding services for both tempered and non-tempered steel, carbides, and other metals.
