Scleros to present new wire drawing die with exceptional speed and resistance
Scleros, company of the OMCD group specializing in the manufacture of hard metal tools, has recently developed an innovative method to significantly increase the wire drawing speed.
A very thin CVD-TiN (Chemical Vapor Deposition - Titanium Nitride) coating has been applied through chemical-physical reactions in specific furnaces on the standard dies, boosting their performance.
The main feature of this film is the excellent adhesion to the carbide, which involves a high reduction of the friction coefficient between the die and the bar. For this reason, it guarantees great drawing speed and huge wear resistance; at least three times higher than normal.
From March 19 to 21, OMCD Group will be exhibiting its latest novelties at Fastener Fair Stuttgart. The company will await you at Booth 2610 - Hall 5.
