E-Tech Europe 2026 returns in October with advanced batteries and EV technology exhibition

The fifth edition of E-Tech Europe, the international exhibition dedicated to advanced batteries and innovative technologies for the production and recycling of electric and hybrid vehicles in the automotive, transport, and industrial sectors, will take place from 7 to 9 October 2026, for the first time in the autumn season, at Bologna Exhibition Centre (Italy).

The event brings together key players from across the industry supply chain, showcasing the latest innovations in electrification. These include, to name a few, innovative electric motors, next-generation batteries, inverters, Battery Management Systems (BMS), Software Defined Vehicles (SDV), Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Electric Vehicle Communication Controllers (EVCC), advanced safety and security solutions, materials for battery cell production, composite materials, additive manufacturing, testing equipment and machinery, power electronics, software, hardware, sensors, AI, automation and robotics, as well as fast and comprehensive vehicle charging systems.

The exhibition will offer numerous networking opportunities to connect with suppliers, strategic partners, and industry decision-makers. In 2025, E-Tech Europe hosted over 150 exhibitors from 20 countries, including France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Lithuania, Israel, India, the United States, China, and Singapore. The event featured 16 conference sessions with 50 qualified speakers, proving to be a unique occasion to explore strategic visions and discuss new technologies shaping the future of electric mobility.

The upcoming edition, supported once again by leading industry associations, will involve startups, universities, and research institutes, helping to make the event a reference point for a sector with significant growth potential.

As part of E-Tech Europe 2026, the second edition of Battery Day will be held on 7 October. This international conference on the battery industry in Italy, organized in collaboration with Battery Industry - the leading sector portal -, will provide an important opportunity for discussion and updates on technological solutions for the development of the electric transport industry, with participation from top Italian and European industry leaders.

E-Tech Europe 2026 will take place within Urban Tech 2026 – The Urban Technology Show, a new event dedicated to e-mobility, traffic, commuting, security, telecommunications & data, and the environment. It is the first European trade hub focused on smart city management, urban agglomerations, communities, and territories, addressing mobility, traffic, commuting, infrastructure, safety, innovation, digitalization, telecommunications, connectivity, resources, energy, sustainability, and environmental challenges.

Urban Tech 2026 comprises several international exhibitions and conferences, including E-Tech Europe 2026, E-Charge 2026 (EV charging industry and market, charging stations, technologies, infrastructure, and services); Traffic 2026 (traffic management, infrastructure, safety, smart roads and smart cities, intelligent mobility, parking solutions, public and collective transport); Wireless & Towers 2026 (transmission towers, infrastructure, technology, and equipment for telecommunications, broadcasting, satcom, security sectors, smart cities, and territories); and Urban Security 2026 (technologies, systems, products, solutions, and services for security and safety professionals).

Simultaneously, Asphaltica 2026 (paving and road construction, organized by Siteb) and Saie 2026 (construction and building, organized by Senaf) will also take place.
