How did EuroBLECH 2024 go? A closer look

The 27th EuroBLECH exhibition, held in Hanover from October 22-25, 2024, brought together 38,946 visitors from 114 countries and 1,317 exhibitors across 160,000 sqm. As the leading global event for the sheet metal working sector, the exhibition provided a platform for showcasing the latest advancements and fostering industry connections.

Industry adapts to ongoing challenges

Despite global economic uncertainty, EuroBLECH 2024 highlighted the industry’s focus on innovation and investment. Visitor numbers increased by 3%, with Germany accounting for a significant share, followed by the Netherlands, Italy, and Poland. The increase in attendees from Asia (Japan, Taiwan, India) and South America (Argentina) highlighted emerging opportunities for the industry.

Discussions reflected cautious optimism about market recovery and a clear focus on driving technological progress and sustainable production practices.

Showcasing technological advancements

Across nine exhibition halls, companies introduced cutting-edge solutions to enhance production efficiency. Key highlights included AI-driven automation, energy-efficient drive systems, high-speed laser cutting technologies, and compact, flexible machinery suited for smaller production environments. 

The EuroBLECH Awards 2024 recognized six standout innovations in areas such as cutting, forming, and sustainability. Award-winning products ranged from advanced laser welding systems to energy-efficient hydraulic drives. The awards provided a snapshot of the sector’s innovative potential.

A focus on new talent and collaboration

This year’s event also placed significant emphasis on future talent, with a dedicated Young Innovators' Pavilion showcasing startups and new ideas. On Careers Day, students and apprentices had the opportunity to explore the latest technologies and connect with industry leaders. 

Looking ahead

The next edition of EuroBLECH is scheduled for October 20-23, 2026, in Hanover. Building on the outcomes of 2024, it will continue to serve as a key platform for innovation and networking in the sheet metal industry.
