Iran, a receptive market for the wire, cable and tube industry
Spotlights on Iran – Recently many articles, studies and discussions focus on the country as the next destination for industries and investors.
After the removal of the economic and financial sanctions against Tehran, the European countries, the United States and not only, immediately looked to the "new Iran" as a great business opportunity.
A country with a population of 78 million, Iran is currently one of the biggest economies of the Middle East, with a per capita GDP of 5,288 US$ (official FMI data). Due to its location in central Eurasia, it holds a special geostrategic significance. Large reserves of petroleum and natural gas are found in the region. Furthermore, parts of Iran are located on the world’s copper belt. By the year 2014, Iran had the world’s 9th largest copper reserve with 32.5 million tons (Source: iranwire.ir).
As regards steel, according to the World Steel Association, Iran was no. 14 in the list of the major steel producing countries in 2015, with 16.1 mt.
A recent news story by The Independent ranks Iran as one of the most powerful economies in the world by 2050. The report that was carried out by professional services giant PwC said Iran would gain position no. 17 in three decades, outperforming many European players.
As the only exhibition in Iran mapping the entire spectrum of wires, cables, tubes, pipes, profiles and related industries, positive expectations are pinned on the 4th edition of Iran Wire, to be held in Teheran from 5 to 8 December 2017.
Organized by the Aria Group Conference and Exhibition Development Company, for the first time Messe Düsseldorf GmbH will act as overseas associate, dealing with the participation of international exhibitors.
The notorious German trade fair organizer will be responsible for the canvassing and handling of international exhibiting companies, serving in a wide range of organisational areas, including registration, stand design and a smooth onsite operation at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground.
