Italy stays strong and so does Expometals.net
The novel COVID-19 coronavirus has hit Italy hard, pushing hospitals and emergency services to the brink and forcing Italians to change their lifestyle, with a negative impact on the economy and all industrial sectors in jeopardy.
Since March 9 and with immediate effect, the containment measures (keeping safety distances, no aggregate of people, restricted circulation across the country) previously involving only a few districts in Northern Italy have been extended to the entire national territory. On the other hand, commuting and business trips remain possible, which means that goods will continue to circulate freely across the country.
According to the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) outlook, the situation was already rather difficult before the coronavirus emergency but showed signs of recovery. However, the data emerging from the latest survey paint a bleak picture with a strong risk for the global economy.
As claimed by many companies inside Expometals, the situation can be compared to a pendulum swinging from contraction to frenzy, as some customers have started a rush towards supply. Some, like us, are already working from home but not all companies can make do with this solution.
Expometals.net stays strong
Online trade fairs cannot replace physical trade shows since personal interactions are still crucial to business relationships. That being said, now even more so than before, we want to support in their web communication all companies hit by the emergency.
Expometals.net was born 19 years ago with the noble purpose to enhance the visibility of companies on the web within their reference industry at an affordable price. This is still true today, as it was back then.
These are hard times both for Italy and the rest of the world but it's in these dire circumstances than we must stay strong. So that we may rise even stronger than before, once the crisis is over.
