What happened at Fastener Fair Global 2025: key takeaways and exhibitor reactions

The curtain has fallen on the 10th Fastener Fair Global in Stuttgart, closing three days filled with innovation, networking, and global industry buzz. Here's our wrap-up of this milestone edition.
Key figures and global participation
While the 2023 edition marked a record in terms of net exhibition space, no visitor or net space data has yet been published for the 2025 event. However, this year’s show confirmed its global scale, occupying 52,000 square meters of gross exhibition space across four halls at Messe Stuttgart. Over 1,000 exhibitors from 46 countries took part, showcasing a wide array of fastener and fixing solutions for every industrial sector.
This year’s exhibitor line-up reflected the diversity and specialization of the global fastener and fixing industry. Of the 1,000+ companies present, the largest category was Industrial Fasteners and Fixings (563 exhibitors), followed by Construction Fixings (198), Fastener Manufacturing Technology (202), Assembly and Installation Systems (53), Storage, Distribution, and Factory Equipment (48), Services (63), and Information and Communication (31). The majority of exhibitors hailed from major manufacturing hubs, including Germany, Italy, China, Taiwan, India, Turkey, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, and France.
Among the key additions this year was the debut of the Innovation & Sustainability Zone in Hall 7, where forward-thinking companies showcased environmentally conscious products and cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of fastening.
What was the exhibitors’ take on the show?
Fastener Fair Global 2025 received a largely positive response from participating companies, who expressed their satisfaction with the outcome.
The event once again drew a broad international audience spanning multiple industry sectors—from construction and distribution to automotive and metalworking. As in previous years, the spotlight remained firmly on finished product suppliers, with a particularly strong presence of screw and rivet manufacturers. Although machinery, treatment solutions, and equipment providers were also in attendance, their participation appeared more selective, reflecting a trend observed in recent editions.
The 2025 edition also benefited from being held concurrently with eltefa, the Trade Fair for Electric, Energy, Building and Industry, which took place at Messe Stuttgart during the same week. This overlap likely helped boost overall foot traffic and expanded networking opportunities, offering visitors access to a broader cross-section of technologies and solutions relevant to both the fastener and electrical sectors.
We have asked some companies with a presence on Expometals.net to provide feedback on their experience exhibiting at the fair in Stuttgart.

“Our participation in Fastener Fair Global represents a crucial opportunity to strengthen our international positioning and consolidate relationships with partners and customers worldwide. The event allowed us to showcase the latest technological solutions and engage with key industry players on critical topics such as automation, Industry 5.0, and sustainability, reaffirming our role as a benchmark for innovation in the fastener and fixing industry."

“Once again this year, we exhibited at Fastener Fair Global, with a renewed booth design and a fresh presentation of our latest product lines. This drew the attention of numerous industry specialists. Our screws in particular—custom-made based on client drawings and samples, and equipped with features specifically designed for their application—played a key role… (read more)”

"IVR participated for the third time in the Stuttgart trade fair, confirming the experience as a positive one. Although it is not a specialized event for furnace and plant manufacturers, it still proves to be a useful opportunity to make contact with new partners, especially in the European market. The event was well attended throughout the three days, and we picked up encouraging signals from the German market, which seems to be improving compared to last October, when we exhibited at the Aluminium trade fair."
Lucia De Marco, IVR Srl
“We had the chance, for the ninth time, to be there for our customers, partners, and suppliers over three days in Stuttgart, answering their questions. Our 30-person team from Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics made the most of the opportunity to meet familiar and new contacts, talk shop, share news—and, of course, do some good business. Supported by a dedicated promotions team, we brought full energy from Tuesday to Thursday, once again teaming up with Fastbolt from Gronau to deliver fruity energy shots under the motto: "We got the POWER for your business." Just like two years ago, the trade fair organizer selected us from over 1,000 exhibitors to contribute to the "official" trade fair video. Volker Lederer joined the camera crew on Wednesday afternoon and shared his very positive impressions of the event.”
Markus Gebehenne, Lederer GmbH
“The biennial Fastener Fair Global is, in fact, the most important event in our industry. The 2025 edition did not disappoint expectations, despite being scheduled during what is perhaps the most difficult period of the past ten years, within an especially critical economic context and in the European country currently experiencing the deepest industrial crisis since the post-war era. Given these circumstances, many industry players had opted out… (read more)”

"Fastener Fair Global 2025 was a fantastic experience! Though not a dedicated machinery show, it's clearly the key global event for the fastener industry. We connected with customers and professionals worldwide, gaining valuable insights. Our GV2evo thread rolling and MPA14CL secondary operation machines impressed attendees, generating strong leads. The turnout was excellent, and we're thrilled with the positive reception. We're already looking forward to 2027!"
Mikel Zaldua, SASPI
“This is the number one trade fair for fasteners. We met many new customers alongside existing ones. I’m satisfied with the turnout, especially because we received targeted inquiries for concrete projects. As for the origin of the visitors, I noticed a predominance of Italians and Europeans in general, but also some from Turkey.”
