The wire & Tube trade fair duo has been officially canceled

wire & Tube 2020 have been officially postponed. Again. Or rather, definitively canceled. Yes, because the two fairs, among the main events of the wire and tube industry, were originally slated to take place in spring, from March 30 to April 3. The Covid-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdown measures in several countries led the organizers to postpone the exhibitions in a hurry just a few weeks before the start. Due to a busy schedule, Messe Düsseldorf was forced to reprogram the shows on the last useful dates of 2020, from December 7 to 11.

This decision provoked a bit of discontent among some exhibitors. The reasons? First of all, the concern for the health and safety of colleagues and coworkers; and the fear of spending a lot of money and efforts on such an important fair with the risk of a low turnout. The coronavirus hotbeds which are still active in Europe and in the whole world and the travel limitations could have pushed many industry operators to desert the event, making the investments of the exhibitors vain.

With all these problems on the table for months, and the stop at trade fairs sanctioned by Chancellor Merkel on October 28, the organizers finally had to cancel the events, as Messe Düsseldorf officially announced on Oct. 30.

The next editions of the two international No. 1 trade fairs for the wire, cable and tube industries, will now be held in their traditional cycle in 2022.

2021 already features several events of the wire & Tube circuit, including wire & Tube India (Mumbai, 25-27 March 2021), wire & Tube Russia (Moscow, 08-10 June 2021), wire & Tube Southeast Asia (Bangkok, 22-24 September 2021), and wire South America (São Paulo, 5-7 October 2021).

See you in 2022!
