Wire & Cable Arabia 2015: a new trade show with high potential
From January 10th to 13th a new-born fair will take place in Saudi Arabia: Wire & Cable Arabia 2015.
Based in the UAE, a crucial business fulcrum for the wire and cable world, the event will take place in concurrence with Middle East’s flagship industrial trade fair Tekno Arabia, and co-located with three other events: METAL Middle East 2015, TUBE Arabia and Welding & Cutting Arabia.
Fuelled by increasing telecom infrastructure spending in the developing countries, the global wire and cable industry shall be worth US $249 billion by 2018, according to the organizers of the event. The MENA Region (Middle East and North Africa) reached in 2012 US $15.4 billion wire and cable consumption, up by 5.4% from 2011. In the same period, the Persian Gulf market scored almost 1.2 million gross cable tonnes, while the North African region stood with 520,000 tonnes. In the Gulf countries, the boom in construction activity of the last decades boosted the demand for energy cables. The need for wire and cable rose from a little over 400,000 tons in 2003 to almost 1 million tons in 2010.
Among the participants of the Arabian event (see preliminary exhibitors list), there are some companies which are also online exhibitors on Expometals.net:
