IABG’s Dry Spring Testing Machine is able to perform fatigue tests on automotive springs in normal laboratory atmosphere, thus allowing the determination of spring fatigue strength while reducing both time and cost.

This testing machine uses the principles of resonance and therefore the total costs of ownership are very small. The testing machine is designed in order to represent the actual vehicle conditions as accurately as possible e.g. the rear axle kinematics.

Beside the mechanical load, mechanical influences surface damages caused by stone impact, abrasion, and corrosion can be investigated.

Spring tests, which can be performed with original spring seats in installation position, are accepted by all leading car manufacturers and compliant with worldwide testing standards of springs.
