Flat dies and circular thread rolls regrinding service

RLS Tooling Ltd offers a regrinding service, which can reduce tooling costs, for both flat dies & circular thread rolls to all its customers.

Flat dies: before rectifying a flat die the thread is removed in increments. The amount eliminated is marked on the die to make it possible to maintain the position of a new die by placing the size shim behind the die. In this way the die is easily set up as if it were a new set.
On request RLS can supply size shims or the customers can use their own gouge plate for packing.

Circular thread rolls: RLS can regrind annular or helical thread rolls either of their own manufacture or supplied by competitors. Large diameter machines are particularly suitable for regrinding as they are made from high-priced HSS that is saved when utilized for regrinding.
