Reheating and drying stations for tundishes

GF-ELTI designs, manufactures and installs tundish reheating and drying stations.

These are plants used in steelworks, dedicated to the reception and distribution of melted metal on continuous casting lines. The reheating stations are used to dry and preheat the tundishes at temperatures suitable for the process (1.050 ÷ 1.150 °C) before their use. The stations are equipped with a combustion and automation system, with the possibility of carrying out programmed reheating cycles.

GF-ELTI plants are complete with a structure supporting one or more burners, an insulated cover to close the tundish, a fuel reduction and control unit, a combustion air generator, as well as various handling devices based on the different construction configurations.
