Sebir TSF©1 for cold stamping applications

Sebir TSF©1 is an eco-friendly phosphate-free drawn steel wire created for the automotive industry. The product's unique processing allows for the complete removal of phosphates and other surface coatings, offering an environmentally sustainable alternative that lowers the cost of defosphating. These innovative features lead to a reduction in emissions, with a CO2 output of 83.4 kg/ton of TSF©1 wire.

The diameter of Sebir TSF©1 ranges from 1.8 to 6.5 mm, making it ideal for cold stamping and production of complex parts due to its high deformability. Furthermore, this type of wire offer numerous advantages: it improves the geometry of cold-formed parts, increases deformation capacity and reduces the risk of cracks at 45° and the severity of steel cracks at 90°.

Sebir TSF©1 ensures extreme cleanliness of drawing machines, reducing the time needed for maintenance: this is because the reduced friction coefficient, with much lower values than wires manufactured with conventional technology, at μ=0.12 vs. μ=0.40, means that the wire does not soil the machine.

Sebir TSF©1 also eliminates the risk of the ferrite-delta phase occurrence in quenched and tempered screws and uses specific lubricants according to customers' needs. The behavior of the friction coefficient in cold forming makes the wire ideal for obtaining parts of the highest quality and precision.

The available processes are: K (+U+C), GK (+U+AC+C), KGK (+U+C+AC+LC).

In summary, Sebir TSF©1 phosphate-free eco-friendly drawn steel wire is the ideal solution for professionals looking for an innovative, reliable and environmentally sustainable product. For more information about this product, you are invited to contact Sebir through the contact details provided.
