Rolled steel wire rod and bars - QWR

The new QWR wire rod rolling mill is part of the expansion and diversification project of the entire ABS product portfolio. Its production will also complement the current bar production range.

The range produced in the QWR (5 - 25mm), integrated with the production of the Luna rolling mill (13 - 63mm), makes ABS one of the few international manufacturers that can supply the entire dimensional range, opening up new unexplored market segments.

The array of rolled steels is quite extensive, ranging from low-carbon steels (both boron or boron-free) to high-carbon steels (both chromium or chromium-free), as well as chromium-, silicon- and vanadium-alloy steels. All products also feature low inclusion ratings and high surface quality that make them suitable for the most sophisticated applications.

The company makes extensive and practical use of innovative technologies that guarantee accurate remote process control and emphasize product quality.
