Pusher furnace with bilateral reheating

GF-ELTI designs, manufactures and installs pusher furnaces with bilateral reheating added to rolling lines for reheating of slabs, billets and blooms to the appropriate temperature (1,100 ÷ 1,250 °C) for the subsequent rolling process.
The furnace, with continuous conveyor and active pit, consists of: walls, vault, pit, fixed beams (cooled and lined with refractory material) or "skids", equalisation hearth, regenerative burners (placed both above and below the charge).
The loading system can be frontal or lateral, based on the plant layout.
Compared to the pusher furnace with unilateral reheating, this type of plant allows shorter furnace lengths, but requires foundation works for the creation of the reheating pit.
The chamber must be emptied manually when the furnace is cold during maintenance operations.
