Rolling machine for cold forming of small metal parts

This new Tecnopress rolling machine TP2-GR is a completely innovative machine, devised for the cold forming of small metal parts. Despite having the shape and the structure of a traditional roller threading machine, it is not meant to make standard threads, but it was designed to produce grooves, knurls ,undercuts and splines on the external surface.

Indeed, Tecnopress TP2-GR rolling machine has the distinctive feature of using a much longer sector than the one used by standard roller threading machine. This sector is developed on a 180° angle (half a turn) and its position can bem completely adjusted around the roller. A long track for metal deformation with gentle and progressive angles is extracted on the sector; this geometrical structure allows to perform processes where the deformation effort is transmitted on the semi finished product in a very progressive way. This helps reduce the risk of roundness on semi-drilled and drilled pieces and meet the geometrical tolerances.

For the sake of comparison, please note that Tecnopress machine enables operations that up to know were only possible with a dies threading machine, with dies length of at least 420; another strong point of the TP-GR2 is the motorized feeder provided with safety clutch and 9 slots, which allows a high production speed, with no need to fall back on complicated mechanical timing operations.

Please also note that the working tools are easy to construct and have a simple
design, so that each final user can easily produce them in-house, with no need to contact dedicated suppliers.

The machine is easy to use and does not require any specific safety measures for installation.
