Since 1962, Centro Inox, Nonprofit Association, deals with the study and development of stainless steel applications in Italy.
Centro Inox Association is represented by the largest stainless steel producers in Italy which are involved in the production of sheets, strips, bars, tubes, profiles, and so on. with the most varied types of "grades".
The association provides, on the basis of its decades-long experience, advice with data and technical information on physical-mechanical features and corrosion resistance proprierties, stainless steel processing and implementation technologies, on the most current and useful applications in all the sectors of consuption. Institutionally it orientates the end user to the right choices, also based on the concept of "quality".
For associates, it also provides statistical data and specific market research for different steel products and sectors. The action of Centro Inox with the partners who direct the main promotional strategies is essentially of two types:
• Maintaining and consolidating the sectors in which stainless steel is now widely applied (chemical and petrochemical industry, household appliances, food, etc.)
• Research for new fields of application where stainless steel can be located next to traditional materials (construction, transportation, etc.)
Another very important purpose is also the one related to normative and legislative activity. The association, in fact, participates in national and European regulatory commissions dedicated to stainless steels and is an important legislative advisory body. It also allows, through the company "Centro Inox Servizi Srl", a subscription to a network of "dedicated" performances, for an ongoing, personalized and specific support.
The Association has regularly published since 1965 the magazine INOSSIDABILE.
