The South African Wire Association update - wire and Tube 2020

The South African Wire Association update - wire and Tube 2020

SAWA will not be participating in the international wire and Tube trade fair in Düsseldorf this year.

The decision was made in collaboration with the Department of Trade Industry and Competition (dtic) in light of the ongoing pandemic.

The unpredictability of the Covid-19 infection rate in Europe means that SAWA will not be hosting a national pavilion in December.
“While we know that often valuable business contacts are made and cultivated at the trade fair, we have legitimate concerns around any travel and health risks”, says Keith Campbell, director of South African Wire Association (SAWA).

SAWA is optimistic that that there will be other opportunities for our members to participate in global market exhibitions and trade shows in the near future, and SAWA will support members as these prospects arise.

"We remain available to you on the end of a phone or email, for any enquiries, concerns, or information you need. We seek, as always, is to support our members as well as we can through this unprecedented period in all our lives."

SAWA remains available to assist any organisations who have enquiries regards the high quality wire products available from South African manufacturers.

Update (October 29, 2020): the 2020 edition of the wire & Tube trade fair has been officially canceled. See you in Düsseldorf in 2022!
