In-line diameter measurement device for fine wires

n

The LDS - Laser Diffraction Sensor - product line marked CERSA’s debut in the wire industry. Designed in 1986 to meet the needs of international wire manufacturers for quick and accurate measurements, this device continues to rule the market and can be considered the company’s flagship product.

Available in two versions, LDS-1-S with one axis and LDS-2-S with two axes, this gauge allows the precise diameter measurement of fine wires from 5 to 2000 µm (0,2 to 80 mils).

Main features:
- laser diffraction technology;
- position and vibration independence;
- no averaging required.

Why should you choose CERSA solutions? Reliability. LDS has no moving parts, as opposed to the other instruments on the market which make large use of rotating-mirror technology.

To sum up, if you are looking for an easy-to-use, robust, and cutting-edge solution to boost your production process, you are in the right place.
