An ingot produced with Properzi’s green technology is on display at the London Metal Exchange

A dream come true

Continuus-Properzi would like to celebrate an important milestone: an aluminum ingot produced using the company’s equipment is now on display in a cabinet at the London Metal Exchange.

Continuus-Properzi has been optimizing its ingot casting process for several years. The BSI Group (British Standards Institution) has certified its technology for "green" processing, acknowledging its reduction in CO₂ emissions.


In detail, the CO₂ntinuus Al Green Ingots production with the “Track & Belt” Technology greatly reduces the CO₂ emissions compared to traditional ingots solidified in an open-top mold. This reduction is conservatively calculated to be above 280 kg of CO₂/ton of primary aluminum converted into Properzi ingots.
