Cold rolling lines for reinforcing bars

Promostar manufactures combined systems for bar production. Compared to traditional straightening machines, these lines offer high-production speed and fast handling operations of the processed raw materials. Promostar offers two types of combined lines: DoradoStar and GeminiStar, both producing high-quality bars with ribbed profiles and exceptional geometrical properties.

DoradoStar
This line, designed for the production of ribbed wire bars for reinforced concrete, can perform cold-drawing and rolling, as well as cutting and straightening operations of bars with length up to 12 m. Featuring a simple and ergonomic design, this system offers a quick starting-up and reduced maintenance. Making use of innovative motorized rolls heads, the DoradoStar provides good production speed between 1 and 5 m/sec, according to the target length and diameter. The line can produce ribbed cold-rolled bars with diameter ranging between 5 and 9 mm, starting from low-carbon wire rods with inlet diameter from 5.5 to 10 mm.

GeminiStar
The GeminiStar is an innovative line, designed for the production of ribbed wire bars or wire coils for reinforced concrete. This system combines the cold rolling process with the straightening and cut-to-length process. The machine can also be used for packaging bundles of the desired length. It can be equipped with a horizontal spooler. Thanks to a horizontal bull block, the wire rolling process is performed with a single or double pass. As a result, the system can manufacture cold-rolled wire bars with diameters ranging from 4.0 mm to 16.0 mm and lengths between 1 m and 12 m. In addition, the production speed can be adjusted from 1 to 8 m/s according to the target length and diameter.
