ŽDB DRÁTOVNA a.s. is a company with more than 138 years of tradition, established in 1885 and strategically located in Central Europe. The company emerged as a successor through the split-off of ŽDB GROUP a.s. and has been a subsidiary of Třinecké železárny – Moravia Steel since October 2012.
The company operates six main production facilities: Patented Wire Drawing plant, Non-patented Wire Drawing plant, Steel Wire Rope plant, Spring plant, Wire Products plant, and Drawing Die plant. As the largest manufacturer of patented wire and steel ropes in the Czech Republic, their production range spans from 0.1 mm to 74 mm, with an impressive output of over 100 km of drawn wire per hour.
Quality management has been a cornerstone of their operations since 1994. The company holds certifications including EN ISO 9001:2015, EN ISO 14001:2015, and IATF 16949:2016 for non-patented wire and spring production.
