Ponziani Spa will not have a booth at wire 2020: "Health first and foremost"

The Italian historic wire drawing company has recently announced the cancellation of its participation in wire & Tube 2020, the international event dedicated to the wire, cable, and tube industries, which will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from December 7 to 11.

The decision was certainly not taken lightly, and only after a careful assessment of all potential risks. Given the critical situation connected to the current pandemic, Ponziani has therefore preferred to give priority to the health and safety of its employees, partners, and customers.

However, this is not a goodbye: Ponziani will be back in Düsseldorf for wire 2022.

Ponziani is an important piece in the history of Italian wire drawing industry. The company was founded in 1920 by Carlo Ponziani as a high carbon steel wire manufacturer. Over the years, his baton was first picked up by his son Emanuele, and later by his wife and children, who still lead the company's development programs. The current production focuses on spring wire with low, medium, and high carbon content.
