Trafilspec-ITS is an Italy-based company with three production units in Castelmarte (Como), specializing in the field of high-quality and high-precision special steel processing.

Thanks to the considerable experience of its team, the versatility of its machinery, and a flexible structure, the company is regarded as one of the most important European manufacturers of cold-drawn special steel bars and coils: round, square, hexagonal, and flat, as well as special profiles according to customers’ drawings or upon request. The most common raw materials include high-speed, stainless (austenitic, martensitic, and ferritic), case-hardening, nitriding, and cold-forging steels, as well as steel grades used for bearing, cold, and hot forming tools.

Another major highlight in Trafilspec-ITS’s production is the new STC (Short Time Cycle) horizontal furnace for globular annealing, which guarantees top-quality standards in terms of structural homogeneity and total absence of decarburization. 

For Trafilspec-ITS, the quality of the finished product is a top priority: this is why the company has a fully autonomous in-house laboratory for quality controls of both raw materials and finished products. The company is also certified by the RINA international standard, in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 - IATF 16949:2016 - ISO 14001:2015 - ISO 45001:2018.
