When will wire & Tube 2020 take place? Here the new dates
It was a turbulent beginning of the year for everyone, including the wire, cable and tube sector: the industry, which was already weakened by the automotive crisis exploded in 2019, now has to deal with the recent worldwide epidemic of the now well-known coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
The industry's most important global event, the wire & Tube exhibition duo, originally scheduled for the week between March 30 and April 3, 2020, has recently been postponed in light of these considerations to the week between December 7th and 11th.
According to Thomas Geisel, Mayor of the City of Düsseldorf and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, this decision was not an easy one, but it was necessary to ensure the safety of all partners, customers and visitors first and foremost.
The more than 2,500 companies and 70,000 international visitors expected at the show will therefore have to wait another 9 months for the biggest business opportunity of the year in the world of wire, tube and cable. The fair management has declared itself in support of exhibitors and visitors; in a statement, it was announced that existing contracts with exhibitors and tickets already purchased by visitors remain valid for the new dates.
