Meet spheroidize annealing expert RAD-CON in Düsseldorf
The spheroidize annealing process is very common for wire and wire rod used in the production of cold-heading quality (CHQ) wires, as it provides a metallurgical structure allowing metal to be stamped or formed more easily.
RAD-CON is a world leader in the design and manufacture of bell-type furnaces for spheroidize annealing. Many of the largest fastener manufacturers are already using RAD-CON equipment.
The US-based company will be present at wire 2020, the international event for the wire industry to be held in Düsseldorf from March 30 to April 3. The new edition of the show will have a strong focus on fasteners, as the trade fair is now expanding its portfolio to include end products.
These will be the show highlights for RAD-CON:
CHQ: Furnace for producing Cold-Heading Quality wire:
- Convection Bell-type Annealing Furnaces
- 100% Hydrogen Protective Atmosphere
- Spheroidize Annealing (SA) of Hot-Rolled Wire Rod
- Quality Surface, Clean & Decarb-Free
Anneal: Furnace for annealing of drawn wires in batch:
- Low and medium carbon steel wires
- Copper and copper alloy wires
- Aluminum cable on reels
Meet the RAD-CON team at stand no. 9 / D06-03.
Update (March 6, 2020): wire & Tube 2020 has been officially postponed to December 7-11 due to the coronavirus emergency. More information at this link.
